Tanabe Electric Active Suspension controller or better known as TEAS is one of Tanabes innovative designs used in conjunction with their Sustec Pro FIVE and Sustec Pro SEVEN coilover system. The controller allows for automatic or manual adjustments to the dampening forces within the cabin of your vehicle. The small compact unit or brain is fully programmable with memory settings to adjust to any driving preference or even to your vehicles speed. The Tanabe TEAS controller offers two modes: Active and Manual. Active mode operates based on your vehicles speed sensor to automatically adjust dampening force to the front and rear of the vehicle. Each program can handle up to 9 triggers, or 9 adjustment ranges based on vehicle speed. Increments of as little as 5mph can trigger a dampener setting change. These automatic triggers are critical especially when cornering at different speeds. Suspension handling differs at high or low speed so being able to adjust to these conditions is vital to overall driving performance.

The Tanabe TEAS controller set on Manual mode will adjust dampener settings set by your driving preference. A total of four memory slots may be used to store manual mode settings. Each setting is a fixed dampener force based on driving preferences or road conditions. Weather your city driving, circuit or track racing, these settings can be saved and automatically changed with the touch of a button.

The design of the Tanabe TEAS actuators was very important as these are one of the key components of the unit. Because these actuators are continuously changing dampener settings, they have to function flawlessly and accurately under extreme conditions. Every actuator exceeds OEM standards for quality as they are built for durability. The ultra slim profile actuators have a protective boot to protect the intricate inner hardware and made of metal for strength. Unlike competitor brands which use plastic.

The TEAS actuators are also designed to work at high speeds as dampener changes need to be quick and immediate. The TEAS actuators can change settings at an amazing 0.013 seconds (1/100ths of a second). But not only are these changes quick, they are ultra silent. Quick operation is a necessity since these actuators are continuously and automatically changing.

Every Tanabe TEAS controller kit will include all necessary hardware for installation. Professional installation is recommended. Each kit is covered by Tanabes 12 month warranty.
