Drilling and slotting of brake rotors are designed to improve braking performance by removing debris from the brake rotors and brake pads. Power Slot has developed a performance drilled, drilled and slotted brake rotor that meets or exceeds all OE specifications, and is offered as SportStop Rotors.

SportStop performance cross drilled brake rotors are designed with the same function in mind as slotted rotors, by keeping the rotor surface clean for optimum brake rotor and pad contact. This design also promotes better cooling capacity. The reduction in heat prolongs brake pad wear, which will decrease brake dust that can build up and promote poor braking performance. SportStop performance cross drilled brake rotors also increase initial bite response and provide consistent braking performance.

SportStop performance drilled and slotted brake rotor adds both the performance benefits of a drilled and a slotted brake rotor in one. The slot is machined to the rotors minimum thickness where it crosses the outside edge. If you cannot see the slot along the outside edge, the rotor has worn down to its discard depth.

Most SportStop rotors have a durable black e-coating on the non-swept areas of the rotor to prevent unsightly corrosion for durable operation.
