It is well known that the exhaust system on most cars is one of the most restrictive and power robbing variables on any vehicle with the catalytic converter being a prime factor for that restriction. The Megan Racing Downpipe eliminates the OEM restrictive catalytic converter and is replaced with a high flow system that features a larger exhaust tube and outlet. Featuring T-304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and polished to a mirror like finish for that perfect show car touch. The same treatment goes into the Megan Racing downpipe as do all their products with mandrel bent piping for exceptional exhaust flow as well as TIG welding for strength and durability. Fitment needs to be precise as the downpipe sits in between the other exhaust components. So CNC machine flanges are fitted on each end of the downpipe for strong solid support. Some Megan stainless steel downpipes may include a high flow resonator or flex pipe or both. The perforated core resonator is perfect for reducing noise and interior resonance without sacrificing performance. The Megan flex pipe allows the downpipe and motor to move together, but at the same time keeping the exhaust piping in place. By doing this, it eliminates any damage or cracking on the downpipe or exhaust piping usually associated with hard acceleration. Please note that the Megan Racing stainless steel downpipe may not be recommended for street use and may not comply with state air pollution laws.

Every Megan Racing stainless steel downpipe will include all necessary hangers, nuts, bolts and gaskets for installation. Oxygen sensor bungs are welded on for use of OEM oxygen sensors. With the cat-less downpipe design, a CEL (Check Engine Light) may trigger. A Megan or any aftermarket 02 simulator is recommended (Sold separately). Each system is manufactured as a bolt on kit so there will be no welding or modifications required.
